This 7-min video was produced to be part of a presentation at the Grantmakers For Education conference in Washington, D.C. on October 17, 2017 by our client the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.

 

This video shows how 6 Connecticut school districts are taking unique approaches to family, school and community partnerships in order to increase student engagement and improve student outcomes. Each of these initiatives is supported by funding from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.

 

The multi-day production included the filming of interviews and b-roll at several locations throughout central CT including schools, community centers and offices. In addition to producing the feature video, we also edited a series of six separate 2-minute videos that were used on Facebook to educate the public about the Hartford Foundation’s initiatives in school districts throughout Greater Hartford, with the goal of increasing parent and student engagement and closing the opportunity gap. When parents and students are more engaged, student outcomes improve.
